Strawberry Blonde Forever

Yes things are going well here in the happy valley... although it has been an insane past week and a half... here are some of the things I have been up to:

I almost froze to death. Well, really it was a sleepover for the relief society. Except they didn't really mention how cold it was up in the mountains, as in not really heated cabins, 13 feet of snow, and basically snowing! the night part was fine, until my roomate rachel and I tried to sleep. I ended up trying to sleep in 2 sweatshirts, my puffy jacket, in my jeans, and 2 blankets, and cuddling up to rachel. We never really slept. So we ended up leaving at 4:30am.... we hiked out of there, then my car got stuck in the snow... it was a comedy of errors. But eventually we made it home and I finally started sleeping at 5:30 in the morning...

Explosions in the sky=amazing. That would be a band, and I went to their show last week in Salt Lake. It was my first show after the mission. And I loved it!! Totally alternative and yes I know, part of my "different" taste.... I can't help it. haha.

Interviews and Meetings. There have been more than several. I have been meeting lots with the Bishop and counselors and stuff. And I had an interview with my Graphic Design Counslor which went quite well. yay! Finally.. the portfolio is due in 17 days... ahhhhh.

Dancing in the Luau. I performed in the Luau last week which went very well, I didn't even mess up that much on the poi balls! yay! It was super fun, and I loved doing it. I felt so cultured. haha. I think next year I am going to try to sign up for the Tahiti section. That would be simply AMAZING!

Salt Lake City. I have been driving up there a lot. This last weekend I went up and went through the temple, which was loads of fun. That city definitely keeps growing on me...of course there is one specific reason hehe :)

A lot of Festiviness... haha. So last Saturday was festival of colors which is AMAZING! I will post some pictures... For those of you who aren't very familar with Indian Customs, this is a holiday where you celebrate Spring by having a giant chalk war. Its basically amazing. But yes, I got nailed with some insane chalk colors, including some bright pink which has not completely washed out, which is why I am strawberry blonde right now. My bishop made a few comments on Sunday, but he just laughed. haha. There was a whole piece of pink I missed in the back.. oops.

So there you have just some of the events that have made my life insane but wonderful these past few days...
